Duroxite® Overlay – Extreme Abrasion & Wear Life Extension
Duroxite® overlay products are used to address severe abrasion and sliding wear conditions where standard wear plate alone is not sufficient. At A&E Machine Shop, Duroxite overlays are applied to mild steel, Hardox® wear plate, or existing components to create a compound wear surface designed to significantly extend service life in high‑abrasion environments.
Duroxite is typically selected for applications where abrasion is the dominant wear mechanism and impact loading is secondary. It is commonly used to reinforce high‑wear zones, reduce material loss, and extend maintenance intervals on critical components operating in aggressive wear conditions.
In many cases, A&E Machine Shop can rebuild or repair components to equal or better-than-OEM condition, extending wear life through proven materials and processes.

Hardox® Wear Plate –Impact Wear Applications
Hardox® wear plate meets strict demands on wear resistance through a unique combination of consistent high hardness, strength, and excellent toughness, making it well suited for structural wear repair and rebuilding applications where impact, sliding, and abrasion are present.
At A&E Machine Shop, Hardox® is commonly used to rebuild and fabricate wear components that must maintain structural integrity while operating under repeated impact and material flow. Its toughness and wear resistance make it a reliable solution for components exposed to harsh, high‑duty industrial service conditions.
Hardox® wear plate and Duroxite® overlay materials are available through A&E Machine Shop as part of our wear repair, rebuilding, and fabrication services.
